Obituary of John G Nowak

John Gerald Nowak, of Worcester, Pa, passed away on November 1, 2023 with “his girls” by his side. 

John was born on October 23, 1946 to Mary Rose (Marshall) and Joseph Nowak of Conshohocken, Pa. and was a graduate of the Class of 1964 from Norristown High School.  He also attended St. Matt’s and Bishop Kenrick High Schools.  He was predeceased by his big brother, Joey.

John served in the United States AirForce during the Vietnam War.  His love for this country was so strong that after a lengthy sales career in the packing industry, he proudly supported Veterans as the Director of Montgomery County Veterans Affairs.

John married his beautiful bride, Mary (McMonagle) Nowak in 1970 and they shared over 52 years of love.  He lost Mary in late April and has been anticipating this heavenly reunion with “his Murph” ever since.  John was a loving and devoted father to Megan (deceased), Peggy (Nik) Kreutzer, and Maryrose Roberts.  He was a magical and adored Pop to his four grandchildren: Julia, Ella, John and Michael.

John was an avid golfer and played hundreds of courses. He made most of his memories at Plymouth CC, RiverCrest GC, and Blue Bell CC and as a beloved member of the Narducci Golf Group.

Johnny Nowak will be forever remembered as simply being “the best”.   

Services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at St. Helena’s Roman Catholic Church in Blue Bell, Pa. Viewing will take place at 10:00am immediately followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00am.  Private burial to follow.

Friends and family are encouraged to wear their finest golf attire at the service to honor John.
