Obituary of Eugene P. Pasymowski
June 30, 1942 – October 7, 2023
Eugene Pasymowski, of Chester Springs Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2023, at the age of 81, with his son, Stefan, by his side. Eugene faced Alzheimer's disease in his later years with strength and dignity.
Born on June 30, 1942, Eugene was the beloved son of Cecilia and Zigmund Pasymowski. A proud Philadelphian, he graduated from St. Joseph's Preparatory School in 1960 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Villanova University in 1964. He later received a MA in secondary education and teaching from Antioch College in 1968.
Eugene began his distinguished career in public service, working for the federal government throughout the 1970s and 1980s, including notable service as regional director within the federal ACTION agency during the Reagan administration. His commitment to advancing professionalism in real estate appraisal led him to earn his MAI designation in 1991. Soon after, he founded Realstat Valuation, a pioneering firm that applied advanced regression analysis techniques in property valuation.
Beyond his professional achievements, Eugene was deeply engaged in civic and cultural life. In New York, where he spent many summers, he was a longtime member of the Ausable Club and served on the Board of Trustees of Fort Ticonderoga, where he nurtured his love for American history. In Pennsylvania, he served on the Hunt Committee of the Ardrossan Beagles at Radnor Hunt, reflecting his deep appreciation for the region's sporting traditions. He was also proud of his Polish heritage and maintained membership in the Polish American Cultural Center in Philadelphia.
Eugene had a special love for classic automobiles, particularly his cherished 1951 Packard Patrician, which he proudly exhibited at local events, including the Radnor Hunt Concours d’Elegance.
Throughout his life, Eugene championed conservative and libertarian ideals, and was widely respected for his intellectual rigor and talent for lively, thoughtful discourse.
A devoted husband, Eugene was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cathy, in October 2015. Together, they built a life grounded in family and tradition. He is survived by his son, Stefan; his grandsons, Laszlo and Ramone; and his daughter-in-law, Hannah.
