As a dear friend of Brenda we worked together at Verizon. We also became friends and played some interesting rounds of golf, with lots of laughs.
I remember the day she called me excited that she had a date with this certain guy. That date started a love connection for eternity between Brenda & Charlie.
What I remember most about Charlie his soft voice. With all his wisdom he always just "listened." His faith in the Lord made him appreciate the beauty of living and experiencing life. Always reaching out to others. Especially prior to Charlie being unable he consoled and counseled my brother as a care giver.
I recall Charlie's "volumes of how to do this around the house." He had instructions for all repairs and taught Brenda how to fix most. Became a big joke - go to Volume 2 and Section 3.
I need no smell to remember my dear friend Charlie. I just need to walk outside and look up at the sky and see his bright star.

Q: How did you meet Charles?
A: We met Charlie and his wife Brenda at Christ the King Church. It was at a potluck Sunday brunch. My husband and I were new to the church and Charlie and Brenda invited us to share a table with them. Conversation flowed so smoothly and we felt like we knew them a lifetime. Charlie had a way about him that he made you feel special and he was very interested in the topic at hand. We were surprised to hear of Charlie’s illness because he was always so cheerful and only discussed in a positive way how he was feeling if you asked him. He was such a special man who touched many lives with his wonderful personality.

Charlie and Brenda are the bravest most resilient couple I’ve ever cared for and Charlie the best of fishing friends, though I lost many just watching his beautiful Hemlock and Rhododendrons framed casting up or down stream of me on his favorite stretch of the Po. Returning will be bittersweet

I first met Charlie when I started working for him on his American Marine Supply business and he very quickly became one of my favorite people. I remember crying when he told me he had been diagnosed with cancer and was going to take a break from the business. I thought I was going to lose someone I cared a lot for, but through his strength, determination and the advocacy and love from Brenda, I was fortunate to enjoy his friendship for another 12 years. Charlie and Brenda make it easy for you to love them, and their love for each other was undeniable. They always have the best Italian meats, cheeses and wine and love to share them with friends. My favorite part of the Christmas holidays was hanging out at the Morris home and enjoying some good food, conversation and laughter. I'll miss you, my friend.

Charlie I love you and miss you already. I miss our talks on life, death, wisdom and faith.
I lost my wife Anne to cancer about 8-weeks ago, after Anne fought this terrible disease courageously for the past year. Charlie found time to call me about once per week, every week, even while wagering his own fight against cancer.
Charlie always had a way of turning a bad feeling or situation into something good. He said to never question God's plan, because only God, because only God knew what the whole plan was.
There was one particular thing Charlie told me-I couldn't understand why God would take someone as good as Anne, and why she couldn't stay longer. Charlie told me I was looking at it the wrong way. When the doctors made the initial diagnosis on Anne and said with treatment she could live perhaps a year, and she did, I was devastated and could not understand why she could not stay longer. Charlie told me that perhaps I should thank God for giving me that wonderful year and not taking her right then, it made me feel better to deal with Anne's passing thanks to Charlie.

I will miss Charlie more than words could say. I was so blessed to have him as an extra brother during our teenage years. There isn't enough space to write about all the funny things that happened and all the jams we got into. I can't wait to see him again someday.
