Obituary of Barbara T Stringer

Barbara Taylor Stringer, 85, of East Norriton, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on January 28, 2023 at The Pinnacle, Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania.  Funeral Service will be held on Saturday February 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, 3025 Church Rd. Lafayette Hill PA 19444. PLEASE ENTER OFF OF GERMANTOWN PIKE TO CHURCH ROAD

Barbara was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 22, 1937 to Dorothy and Harry C. Taylor.  She went to Germantown High School where she met the love of her life, Harry McDevitt Stringer.  Barbara worked for Montgomery County Intermediate Unit for 27 years before retiring.  Barbara enjoyed gardening, reading, crafts, traveling and camping.  Barbara and Harry visited every state in the United States with the exception of Hawaii. 

Barbara is survived by her children, Bruce Stringer (Cathy) of Hummelstown, Pa., Cynthia Stevenson (George) of Eagleville, Pa., her daughter-in-law, Marie Stringer of West Norriton, Pa., Grandchildren Jenn Wagner (Dan), Jessica Haddy (Jake), Kenneth Stringer, Jr. (Jayna), Amanda Katz (Gary), Lacey McGoldrick O'Brien (Corey), and Ian Hess.  Barbara is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great granddaughters, and her beloved cat, Oddball.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Harry Taylor, her husband, Harry M. Stringer, and son, Kenneth W. Stringer.  Memorial donations may be made to Montgomery County SPCA, 19 E Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, PA 19428
