I truly enjoyed my 34 year relationship with Jack, it started out as a business relationship with him and his business partner, Ed at Murlin Chemical Inc.. I will always think of Jack as the lime, that complemented the evening cocktail. Ed would embellish great stories from their past, and his past, Jack would wait for the perfect time to drop Little bits of wit and humor, often stopping Ed in his tracks and making me choke on my soft pretzel which we would enjoy during my visits from time to time. Those guys and Tommy, their operations manager made quite a team. Discussions about science, geography, family, faith, and politics were always welcome and never ended in an argument . Early in my career, Jack introduced me to a potential new way to market their product, which we began working on a business plan in earnest… While the business never took hold, the things I learned from Jack helped me to eventually own my own business in logistics, which I still have today. Just because Jack was quiet much of the time didn’t mean he wasn’t thinking or couldn’t offer wisdom. Even during his struggles with Parkinson’s, he still took the time to always listen carefully and weigh in as best he could. It was a true sign of human dignity and by no means pathetic… In fact just by him, showing up for work, helped write a new blueprint of how I would like to live out my later years. Always showing up, contributing as best I can. I can’t think of any better life lessons in that. I miss you, my friend, I really miss your smile, but look forward to seeing you someday on the other side. God bless you and your family and thanks for being part of my life :-)

Thanks Tony! I choked many times on pieces of food from his jokes, too! I would love to get in touch and hear your stories. Thank you! Pleasure meeting you at the Mass. What a Great Memory...
