Obituary of Leonard E. Haas

Leonard (Lenny) E. Haas, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 68 in his home on November 16, 2022.  He married his wife Barbara (Jeannie) in 2005 and their blended family includes four children: Greg (Nicole Gisondi), Tracy, Angela Biser (Jason) & Amanda Alburger (Anthony). 

Lenny was the only son of John & Laura Haas who grew up and lived most of his life in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia PA. He leaves behind his 7 grandchildren along with cousins Lucille Kwasizur (Joe) and Sandy Batzel (Domenic DeRosato) along with his nieces and nephews.

Lenny worked for the School District of Philadelphia as an electrician for over 30 years, retiring in 2014. Prior to that he worked at Memorial Hospital.

Throughout his years Lenny enjoyed bowling at his favorite place, Hi Spot, where he formed lifelong friendships and won many awards.  He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and watching The Eagles (Go Birds!), along with spending time at his house in the Pocono’s.  Lenny’s most joy came while spending time with his grandchildren. They were the apple of his eye

Lenny was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved pup Fergie.  He is survived by his wife Jeannie, children, grandchildren and best pup buddy, Mason.

Services will be held at Lownes Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. The visitation is from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM with a short service immediately following. Lownes is located at 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill PA, 19444.
