Doris "Dos"(Raider) Preston, age 100 of Cathedral Village,Andorra, died Tuesday (4/23) in Temple Univ. Hospital. , . She was a Retired School Teacher, employed by Phila. School District Mrs. Preston was born in Phila., PA, the daughter of the late E.F. and the late Sara Pierson Raider.Wife of the late Elmer "Peck "Preston. Doris graduated Roxborough H.S. in 1930.She was a school teacher for over 34 years and for 17 years taught at Jenks Elementary School in Chestnut Hill. Doris was a member of the Andorra Babtist Church. She always enjoyed playing the piano. She is survived by nephew, William Hofknecht (Virginia); neice, Anne Votto (Ronald); nephew, Albert Hofknecht (Louise) and several grand nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dear friends Linda McNally and Donna Hawley. Friends may call Tuesday 4/30 from 10-11am at Lownes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA.. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Burial will be at the East Vincent Cemetery,Spring City,Pa. Contributions may be made to Andorra Babtist Church,8711 Ridge Ave.Phila.Pa.19128.
