Obituary of Carol M Lasota

Our beautiful mother Carol Marie Lasota (Gordon) was called home to Heaven on August 28, 2022. She left us peacefully with family and friends at her bedside. 

Carol was born in Philadelphia on May 24, 1951. She grew up in Blue Bell, PA attending both Gwynedd Mercy Elementary School & Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School (Class of 1969). In her younger years, she was an avid tennis player and a talented artist.  Carol also loved the outdoors, whether she was relaxing on the Ocean City beach, enjoying a cocktail on the patio, or curating the most beautiful gardens. 

Throughout her life, she was a stay-home-mom, built a successful career at Verizon Wireless for over 22 years, and intermittently worked in real estate. Everything she did was to better the lives of her children. Carol was a free spirit, lived in many different places, and made friends wherever she went. 

Carol is survived by three children: Alison Megill, Brian Lasota (Kelly), and Stephanie Miller (Brian) as well as seven grandchildren: Patrick & Daniel Megill, Isabel & Emma Lasota, and Avery, Nolan & Barrett Miller. She is also survived by her brother Eugene W. Gordon Jr. and sister Barbara Joan Grady (Jeffrey).  She was preceded in death by her mother Marie McConnell Gordon, father Eugene W. Gordon Sr., and brother Richard Gordon.

Visitation will take place on September 10th from 9:30-11:00 AM at Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church, Plymouth Meeting. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to The Mercy Fund.
