Obituary of Kathleen T Krebs

Kathleen T. (McNeilly) Krebs, 73, of Eagleville, Pennsylvania, formerly of Plymouth Meeting, died Monday, July 11, 2022, at Einstein Medical Center. She is the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Berenice T. (Costello) McNeilly. 

Kathleen was born in Philadelphia and raised in Plymouth Meeting. She attended St. Philip Neri Grammar School, St. Matthew’s High School, Gwynedd Mercy Academy and Montgomery County Community College. 

Before her retirement, Kathleen worked for many years in the banking industry. She retired in 2013 from Alliance Bank. 

Since retiring, Kathleen has enjoyed spending time with her family. As a genealogy buff, she especially enjoyed establishing her family’s ancestry and delighted in making contacts with distant relatives “across the pond.” She was also an enthusiastic fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and professional golf. An avid follower of the news, she thoroughly enjoyed a good political discussion. 

Kathleen will be remembered for her strong independent streak, easy laughter, humorous retorts, love of dogs, and compassion for those less fortunate than herself. She is survived by her three loving children: daughter Meredith (Krebs) Smalley of East Norriton, Pennsylvania, Brendan Krebs and his wife, Tarah, of Scarborough, Maine, and Ryan Krebs of Phildelphia, as well as five adored grandchildren –Lona, Gia, Twyla, Tulip and Foles – and her sister, Eileen Myers. She is predeceased by her sister Patricia McNeilly, her nephew Nathaniel Myers and her son-in-law, Joseph Smalley 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 15, at 11:00AM at St. Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette HIll, Pennsylvania. Visitation will precede the Mass from 10:00AM to 11:00AM .
