Obituary of Ann E Deasy
Ann E. Deasy, age 84 of Lafayette Hill, PA, died Saturday (May 21, 2022) at Sunrise of Lafayette Hill surrounded by her family. Ann was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Ann (Morris) Cundey and the late Paul E. Cundey, Sr. Ann was a much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, and will be greatly missed by all.
Ann was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, class of 1955, and Fitzgerald Mercy Nursing School, class of 1958. She retired after a long and fulfilling nursing career working at Chestnut Hill Hospital and The Renfrew Center, and as school nurse at Mount Saint Joseph’s Academy for Girls.
Ann was a member of St. Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and performing in “The Follies.” She loved music and dancing and was affectionately referred to as “The Dancing Queen.” For many years, Ann frequented Sea Isle City, NJ and was an active member of the Sea Isle City Yacht Club. She was a gracious hostess to friends and family at the shore, and enjoyed walking and shopping on Sea Isle’s promenade. She especially loved socializing with life-long friends and neighbors from Mulberry Lane. She enjoyed holidays, the theater, traveling, Disney World and spoiling her grandchildren. Ann was a beautiful and elegant lady who loved life and having fun.
Ann is survived by three daughters: Deni Deasy of Chester Springs, PA, Tara L. Rose (Tom) of Greenwood, SC, and Ann Colebaugh (Eric) of Chester Springs, PA, and one son: Richard P. Deasy (Sue) of Fort Washington, PA. She also is survived by 12 beloved grandchildren: Hanne, Nick, Kimber, Jennifer, Katie, Alison, Amanda, Shannon, Leah, Carin, Calin and Colin. She is survived by two brothers: Dr. Paul E. Cundey, Jr. and Dr. David Cundey and one sister: Linda (Cundey) Kohler. She is predeceased by her husband Richard D. Deasy and her son David W. Deasy.
Friends may call Saturday, May 28th from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Horsham.
