Robert A. Evans, age 74 of Plymouth Meeting died Friday (4/5) in the Einstein Montgomery Medical Center. He was a retired Installation and Repair Technician for Verizon ,formerly Bell Telephone after 35yrs. Mr. Evans was born in Phila., PA, the son of the late D.Boyd Sr.and the late May Young Evans. Mr.Evans was a graduate of Germantown H.S. He entered the U.S. Army shortly after High School. For many years Mr.Evans was an active member and volunteer for Saint Jude and the Nativity Church serving as an usher and lending a helping hand at the flea markets and many of the churches functions. He was known to many as a handyman and a great family man. For many years he enjoyed taking his family on trips to the Jersey Shore. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends. He is survived by his wife- Sarah (Rhine ) Evans two daughters: Deborah Evans-Hunger(late Robert) , Dawn Evans-Davies (Edward) one son: Robert A. Evans Jr. (Kelly Axford) . one brother: D.Boyd Evans Jr. of Roxborough,Phila., PA 5 Grandchildren-Christopher,Dawn ,Ruth, Brianna and Alden Friends may call Wednesday 4/10/13 from 9:30-11AM at Saint Jude And The Nativity Church, 203 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA.. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Burial will be held privately in George Washington Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to Saint Jude and the Nativity Church..
