Obituary of Muriel B Jackson
Muriel Jackson (nee Bott) of Normandy Farms Estate and formerly of Lafayette Hill, passed away January 13, 2022. She was 95 years old.
Loving wife of the late H. Herbert Jackson. A devoted mother; she is survived by her children, Timothy Jackson and Rebecca Yuhas (David); grandchildren Kevin Jackson, Jordan Yuhas (Caryl) and Nathan Yuhas, and great grandchildren Marlowe and Daphne Yuhas.
Born in Pittsburgh March 18, 1926, she was a graduate of Oliver High School and Robert Morris School of Business. She worked in customer service at Manuals Printing in Lafayette Hill for many years followed by assistant administrative aide at The Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill.
She and Herb travelled extensively during their time together. If they were traveling by car they were accompanied by Heather, their beloved little dog. Muriel and Herb especially enjoyed trying new restaurants and spending time with family and friends. They were members of Ply Mar Swim Club where she loved to work on her tan. She moved to Normandy Farms when she retired in her 70’s; remained active and continued to enjoy traveling and dining with her friends, old and new.
Muriel was always busy with projects: knitting, embroidery, needlepoint and sewing. That of course was when she wasn’t eradicating any and all dust, dirt or crumbs in the house. She was always moving.
A celebration of her life will be held at a future date. Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital, Philadelphia.
