Millard N. Wilfong, Jr. age 86 of Whitemarsh Twp., died Wednesday (1/30) in the Fox Chase Cancer Center.
He was a , retired Vice President of Conshohocken Federal Savings and Loan.
Mr. Wilfong was born in Norristown, PA, the son of the late Millard N. Sr.. and the late Florence von Steenberg Wilfong .Mr. Wilfong was predeceased by his first wife Ethel (Kratz) Wilfong in 1976.
Mr.Wilfong graduated from the Norristown H.S. in 1944 and Muhlenburg College in 1952. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW2.
Mr.Wilfong spent his professional career as a banker for several savings and loans in the Norristown/Conshohocken area.
"Mill" loved music and sang with the Valley Forge Songmen,Mastersingers of Plymouth Meeting,The Mendelsohn Club of Phila,The Now Time Singers of Bucks Co. and the Wayne Oratorio Society.He also was an active member of Saint Peters Lutheran Church in Lafayette Hill and their choir.
He also played in several dance bands and most recently with the Lu Lu Shrine Concert Band.
Mill spent his active years playing tennis,golf,bowling and bridge.He loved spending time with his family at his vacation cottage in Stone Harbor,NJ.
He is survived by Joanne (Seitz) Wilfong

one brother: John J. Wilfong of Lady Lake, FLA
stepdaughter, Kerry J. Meyer of Salinas, CA; stepdaughter, Kristi Tompkins (Timothy) of Greenville, SC; 5 Grandchildren-Jackson, Madison, Taylor, Brett, Mattew,
Friends may call Friday 3/15/2013 from 1-2pm at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, 3025 Church Rd., Lafayette Hill, PA..
A celebration of his life will be will be held at 2:00 pm
Burial will be held privately at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
