It means so, so, so very much to me and our children.
Please know that I feel comfort knowing that he will live on forever in all of our memories.
How lucky were we to have the privilege of having his bright light in our lives. His keen mind and wit. His love of life and his hearty laughter. His generous spirit.
Drink a toast to Greg. He would like that.
I have always been keenly aware that I just had the happy luck of having him be in love with me, but he was the man he was because of the parents that raised him - Joseph & Mary Nowak. Please keep his mom and sister

A very sad day to hear that such a wonderful lawyer and great person has left us. We did not practice in the same area of law, or in the same office (except when Greg came to NYC occasionally), and I have not been with the Pepper firm for almost 4 years, but I want to say something about Greg that was not in his tribute I just read. Greg would never tell clients or prospective clients what they already knew or what others would likely say about a topic - no, with Greg, he told clients and prospective clients something more profound and useful, often legal or practical points that many others never even thought about - until Greg would mention it. Rarely not smiling, rarely not gracious, rarely not willing to share the limelight, Greg was different and better than most - someone we can all emulate. My sincere condolences to his family and to all his friends and those who relied on his very astute and personable legal skills. Richard Reibstein

I am so saddened to hear of Greg's passing. Greg was my housemate in law school and a good friend. All of the superlatives others have spoken about him are true - immensely intelligent, very warm and approachable and a wonderful father and husband. He also mastered the Tax Code - quite a feat in itself! We bonded watching The Twilight Zone late night in law school and were able to stay close to watch our respective children grow.
His passing leaves a large hole in many hearts, mine among them. He will be truly missed.

I was so incredibly stunned and saddened to see this news today. Greg was my dear friend and former colleague whom I had the privilege of working closely with during our days together at Gartmore Global Investments in the early 2000’s. We stayed in close touch over the years since then and I have so many nice memories of time spent with him over lunches at the Pyramid Club, dinners, after work drinks and Flyers hockey games. You quickly run out of superlatives when describing Greg – a formidable intellect, fantastic lawyer, skilled debater, wise mentor and most importantly wonderful husband, father, colleague and friend. His deep love and devotion for his family was apparent in any conversation I had with him over the years. Our deepest sympathies and prayers to Denise and the children and all his loved ones. God bless you my friend – you will never be forgotten!

This is one of the saddest losses I have come to hear of in my lifetime. Knowing the Nowak family over many years and witnessing the great love that ensued between all of them...this is certainly a great tragedy. My heart goes out to each and every one family member here. Greg was a great Patriarch of his family and was such a wonderful father to his children. I've always admired and loved his dedication to them. His love affair with Denise was next to no other. They had a love that fairy tales were made upon. Their love was magical and beautiful to witness. They TRULY loved and cared and REALLY enjoyed the person that each other was. I cannot imagine Greg no longer here, no longer here to lead, to give of his wonderful self and to continually live life with his beloved family. The plans we have and our ideas of what forever looks like does not always go with Gods plan. Sadly enough this is where I must leave this, not understanding and having the most difficult time accepting this. However with my great faith I do know that this great man will be SO blessed in heaven. I am confident that this family will return to each other again and it will be eternal. Until then I pray for Greg's comfort and bliss in heaven with God and I pray for God to comfort with all His might each and every one family member of the Nowaks. I would also like to add that I will always cherish my knowing Greg and having been blessed to have even spent time with he and his gracious, beautiful God loving family.
