Obituary of Janet M. Russo

Our beloved mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, Janet Marie Russo, passed away on January 22nd, 2021, at 82 years of age. She was born on September 6th, 1938. She is survived by her oldest son, Joseph (Joe) Russo, her sister, Linda May (Fanelle), and her granddaughter, Jessica Berman (Russo), as well as nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Fanelle.

Janet was a woman of countless facets. Born and raised in NE Philly to a mostly Italian family, she had a zest for life and her loved ones. She greatly enjoyed her passions of movies, music, award shows, beauty products, the Phillies, bookstores, shopping, and reviewing restaurants. Some of her most cherished memories included a trip to Italy with her late son, James (Jimmy) Russo, attending many weddings, family get-togethers, and Broadway shows. 

A small, private funeral service will be held due to the pandemic on Thursday, January 28th, 2021, at 11am with streaming capabilities with a link provided below:
