Obituary of Mary E. Murray

Mary Elizabeth Murray, age 60, of Lafayette Hill, passed away at her home on Thursday, December 31, 2020.  She was the beloved wife of Michael J. Murray, with whom she shared over 27 years of marriage.  Born on October 3, 1960 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph P. Healy, Sr. and Joan T. (Stephens) Healy.

Mary attended Mount Saint Joseph Academy and Gwynedd Mercy University, where she received both her Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Nursing.  She spent all 42 years of her professional career in the healthcare industry, most recently at Main Line Health System as Systems Director of their Wound Healing Centers.  She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, traveling and following the wine trail for that perfect bottle of wine. 

In addition to her husband Mike, she is survived by her only child, Preston M. Murray; siblings, Kate (Healy) Griffiths and Patrick Healy.  Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Healy, Jr.  In addition, she was a loving aunt and great-aunt to many of her nieces/nephews in Pennsylvania, Illinois and overseas in England.

A viewing for Mary will be Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at St. Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA, 19444. and again on Friday, January 8^th, 2021 at St. Philip Neri Church from 9:30 – 10:15 AM, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM.  Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W. Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham Township, PA, 19150.
