Marion H. Koonce, age 91 of Conshohocken PA, died Saturday (2/2/13) in the Keystone Hospice House in Wyndmoor,Pa. She was a retired Registered Nurse for Germantown Hospital Mrs. Koonce was born in Bethlehem, PA, the daughter of the late Jack and the late Rose Florey Milligan.Wife of the late William J.Koonce Sr. who passed in 1994. Mrs.Koonce was a graduate of Jonestown H.S and the Germantown Hospital School of Nursing. In the Army during WW 2 she served in the 143rd Nurse Corps as a 1st Lieutenant. She was an active member for many years at the Saint Thomas Church in Fort Washington and had volunteered to work in their offices. She also was a member of the churches Senior Bible Study Group and was an avid reader. She is survived by one daughter: Marion Koonce-Haines(Marvin) of Conshohocken, PA two sons: Bruce W. Koonce (Christine) of Pottstown, PA, William J. Koonce (Maria) of Cocoa, FLA. Grandmother of Jennafer,Carolyn,Maria Paula and Michael. Great grandmother of Candace,Savannah and Madison. Friends may call Thursday 2/7/2013 from 9-10:30am at Lownes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA.. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am in the Saint Thomas Church Whitemarsh, Ft. Washington, with the officiating. Burial will be in the Saint Thomas Cemetery, Fort Washington. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
