Alfred V."Jim" Haig, age 87 of Plymouth Meeting PA., died Thursday (1/17) at the ,Atria Woodbridge Nursing Facility in Phoenixville. . He was a Co Owner along with his brother in law of All-Type Fence Co., In Ardmore,Pa. Mr. Haig was born in Phila., PA, the son of the late Alfred and the late Willa Hendron Haig. Husband of the late Dorothy (Gaines) Haig who died in 2005. Mr. Haig was a graduate of the William Penn Charter School. He served our Country during WW2 and part of the Korean War Conflict in the Army Air Corps at the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Haig was a long time member of the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill. In his younger days he played softball for the former Caseys Bakery in Lafayette Hill.He also coached Whitemarsh Twp. Little League Baseball and the Wildcats Football Team. He is survived by one daughter: Sandra H. Shinners (Rick) of Malvern, PA one son: James A. Haig (Loretta) of Stafford, VA 4 Grandchildren-James Richard,Katharine,Meredith, , . Graveside Services will be Saturday 1/26/13 at 11:00 am in the George Washington Memorial Park, .Stenton Ave. Plymouth Mtg.Pa.
