My wife (Barb) and I took Holy Communion to both Nick and his wife Concetta every Tuesday from St Philip Neri. They were a pair. We loved stopping by for a few minutes to chit chat, pray and celebrate the Eucharist. Nick did pretty well when Concetta went to join the Lord. We would visit Nick and if my wife was lagging behind, he'd always ask about her and smile when she came into the his suite. He was sharp as a tack. We are heartsick to learn of Nicks passing. Due to the "lockdown", we have not been available to visit Nick, and the other residents for almost 2 months; BUT I have no questions that Nick and Concetta are together again in heaven and like I always say "we'll meet again". To Nick and Concetta's family: our prayers are with you all

When I was young I lived in a house with my “Uncle Nick”. He bought a house in a suburb to get out of the city. It was the early fifties and my family lived In an apartment on the second floor.. For the next 12 years I got to know my uncle. He was always present in my life, my siblings, and my cousins. I would leave the house to go to school and many mornings he would ask if I wanted a ride to school. He nicknamed me Suzannalls. The only nickname I have ever had.
Uncle Nick would buy us ice cream from the truck that came down the street, or give us change for us to ride on the little merry go round truck. In the summer He would sit on his lawn chair in the yard and yell at us to stop throwing the ball against the house. So many stories, over so many years. The Palm Sunday dinners at Uncle Nick and Aunt Connie’s house were always the highlight of the Spring for our large family. I will always remember him and Uncle Nick will always be in my heart Rest In Peace dear Uncle.. I will love you always. Suzannalls❤️

Your uncle and aunt are great people and are together again. My wife Barb and I knew them from their stay in Sunrise. We brought them Holy Communion on Tuesdays. Thank you for your story, does not surprise me, your Uncle Nick always had a smile. God Rest Buddy. Jim B
