I worked with Joe at Edison/Fareira High School and had many long, thoughtful discussions.
After we retired I discovered he had a relative who was also a friend of ours and we always looked forward to seeing him at their Christmas party.
I would also bump into him at Wings Field where his charitable work was involved.
He will be missed.
Our condolences,

Joe never stop talking, however he was the kind of person that you really wanted in your life, he was one of the nicest men I knew. He was always there to give you a hand whether you needed it or not. He will truly be missed by the people at Ormiston mansion and those who share time with him on a personal level.Giving is what the world should be like and Joe was a shining example.

Joe was always helping with projects at Ormiston. One vivid memory is watching him fuss over the lighting of a vintage dollhouse in Ormiston's "Scottish kitchen". A big man on his hands and knees playing with teeny tiny lights. in teeny tiny chandeliers! What a guy!

I met Joe when our sons were in Troop 12. Over the years I would see him at many local events most recently at concerts by PWHS for senior citizens. Joe was always interesting and very helpful to everyone. He will be missed by many.

What a great guy. Joe had many talents. He could fix, repair, replace or build anything. Many friends and family depending on Joe to get things done. Joe was always volunteering his time to assist others. Joe, you will be sadly missed by me and many others.

We know Joe through Phyllis and have been in his company many times. He was a man of many talents and experiences, "right." We loved being with him and Phyllis and will miss him very much, "right." Our condolences to his family and our wish that their good memories will sustain them at this sad time.
