Gwendolyn A. Forbes, 70 years, of Norristown, passed away on Friday January 24, 2020
She was born on Wednesday April 27, 1949 in Norristown, the daughter of the late Oscar and the late Emily (née Eddicks) Whittington.
Gwendolyn was a former member of St. Augustine of HIppo, Norristown, Second Baptist Church, Wayne, Pa, Zion Baptist Church., Ambler
and Ebenezer Methodist Church, Norristown
She is survived by her daughters, Natalie Forbes Neal (Robert) Lansdale, Pa, Theresa Forbes Norristown, Pa, Lisa Forbes Davis (Ronald) Arizona City, AZ, Susan Forbes Shabazz, Norristown, Pa , Carol Forbes Mitchell Mabelton, Ga.; her sisters Wanda Dozier and Ruth Wittington; as well as her Grandchildren, Rachel, Leah, Shatele, Joseph, Jasmine, Teresa Lynn, Terrell, Aaron, Liena, Ronald Jr, Salim, Robert Solomon, Hassan, Alexandria; and her, Great Grandchildren, Tyrion, Zaniyah, Emmanuel, Elyus, Jordyn, Jaylen, Johan, Kentrell, Iyuri, Nyier, Kanye, Trevon.
Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her Husband Solomon Forbes, Jr, her parents Oscar and Emily Whittington, Siblings, Oscar "Ellick" Whittington Jr., Dallas Catherine Whittington Bell, Rueben Whittington and her Granddaughter Shayla Ahmad and nephew Ruben D. Whittington.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, Jan 29 at 6:00 PM at Norristown Cedar Club 810 W. Germantown Pk., Norristown
