Bruce (Bill's "caddy") posted a condolence
Tuesday, June 30, 2020
My brother-in-law Bill and I met Dennis and Anne 3 or 4 years back at PineCrest Country Club. Bill is the golfer and I'm his "caddy". Actually I just drove the cart and drank beers that I snuck into his golf bag... sometimes with ice. Since Bill golfed as a single with a "rider", sometimes the attendant would ask if he didn't mind going out with another group of 2 or 3 people... that's how we met Dennis and Anne. They were a wonderful couple... a relief from some of the people we got stuck with who didn't talk, didn't care that Hey, Bills's waiting to take his shot... quit fartin around. From my observation, it seemed Dennis loved being out on the golf course and didn't really care all that much about where his balls ended up. Anne, on the other hand, I think loved being out on the golf course but took her game play a little more serious. When we rolled up on the tees, Bill and Dennis would hit from the whites, while Anne and I would sit in our respective carts... Anne waiting to take her tee shots from the reds. So me and Anne would quietly chat while we sat there waiting for the guys to tee off... she was charming, attractive and pleasant. I've been dealing with health issues the last few years that have prevented me from executing my duties as caddy but Bill continued on without me. Occasionally, Bill would get partnered with Dennis and Anne and tell me afterwards that they always asked about me... especially Anne, saying Tell Bruce that we miss him and hope he feels better soon. Today my brother-in-law told me that he ran into Dennis at the golf course this past Friday and asked about Anne, only to find out that Anne had passed away. Bill was devastated when Dennis told him, and he struggled over the weekend with the thought of telling me the sad news. Oh my god Dennis, I am so sorry for your loss... and to Anne's family, you have my deepest condolences

We are shocked and deeply saddened to find out that Anne is gone. Just thinking that's she's not with us leaves such a void. Our world, our neighborhood, and surely her family, has lost a beautiful, gracious, loving, funny, and such a sophisticated woman. We will remember her and be inspired by her every day. Rest In Peace. You are loved. - Bill, Ellen, and Amy Gwynn
