Born in Poland, Joe was raised in an occupied and a war-torn land. Joe’s father was killed in WWII. After the war Joe emigrated with his mother (Lottie) and sister (Stephie) to Bridgeport, PA in 1947.
Joe attended Sacred Heart School and Upper Merion High School. In high school Joe worked at local gas stations and at Jeffersonville golf course. Joe was a machine operator at Simpson Paper in Miquon for over 30 years; after retiring Joe worked on the grounds crew at Phila. Cricket Club. Joe was a “ball hawk” and enjoyed sharing his golf ball finds with any and all.
Joe was a simple, very pleasant and happy man; no one can imagine Joe ever had a cross word with anyone. He enjoyed spending weekends in the Pocono’s with Rita and driving his boat on Lake Wallenpaupack. After Rita’s death, Joe enjoyed riding his bike, taking walks at the mall and spending time with others at the Ambler Senior Center and the Artman Home.
