Vic was a great guy and a great friend to me. I will always be in his debt for his wise counsel about my dissertation when I was a Huebner Fellow at Penn. Although he was a successful alum of the Foundation, working at the American College of Life Underwriters, when I ran into a stone wall he provided me with the guidance I needed to get started and ultimately to complete my doctoral dissertation. Over the years, both before and after that important discussion, I always enjoyed being with him when the chance arose. He was unfailingly generous with his time and provided me with valuable curriculum materials. I join his many friends and admirers in sharing in the sorrow that all Vic's family must feel and hope that you will take consolation in knowing that he impacted the lives of many people--always effortlessly and with grace and good will.
