Obituary of Selene A. Dempsey

Selene A. Dempsey, 56 years young, of Lafayette Hill, peacefully passed away Sunday February 10, 2019. 

 

She was born on Tuesday February 27, 1962 in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Thaddeus and Alice (née Walunas) Sowa. Selene Dempsey graduated from Plymouth Whitemarsh high school in 1980.

 

Selene is survived by her mother Alice Sowa, of Lafayette Hill, and her two children; her son Kevin Walsh, and her daughter Amanda Dempsey, of Plymouth Meeting. She is also survived by her three step sons; Jason Dempsey, Ryan Dempsey, Christopher Dempsey Jr., and her grandchildren. 

 

Selene was always happiest laying with her toes in the sand and under the sun. Selene was always full of life and color; always laughing, singing, and dancing. She had the biggest heart and was always willing to do anything and everything for anyone. 

 

Please join us Saturday February 16 at 11:00 AM at Saint Phillip Neri Church 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill to celebrate the life of Selene A. Dempsey. 

 

A Viewing will be held on Saturday, February 16 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the church before the Funeral Mass. 

 

Selene’s Interment will be held privately.
