Robert G. Schneider, 82, formerly of Gilbertsville, formerly of Lafayette Hills, passed away on Nov. 29th, 2012 in Atlantic County Hospital in Atlantic City, NJ.
He was the former proprietor of the Whitemarsh Tavern till 1973. He was last employed by the Valley Forge Sewer Authority till 2006 He was born April 19, 1931 in Lafayette Hills, the son of the late Gustav and Anna Schneider..
He was an avid golfer, chef and photographer.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara A. Schneider (nee Murphy) in1966.
He was preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth Szgmigiel. He is survived by a sister Hilda Campion, Cape Cod, Mass, daughters Patricia Bruns, Gilbertsville, PA. Lizanne Woods, Garner, NC. Marion Keating, Mays Landing, NJ. Robin Riggins, Charleston, SC a son Eric Schneider, Wyoming and 10 grandchildren.
Friends may call Tuesday 12/4/12 from 10-11am at Lownes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA..
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am
Burial will be in the Saint Matthew Cemetery, Conshohocken.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
