Obituary of Catherine McEntee
Catherine McEntee (nee Bloomer/Emberger) was 95 and 5 days at the time the lord took her home on 09 December 2018 to be with John. She lived the vast majority of her years in Philadelphia before moving to a retirement community of Sunrise in Montgomery County.
Catherine was born on 04 December 1923 to Edward and Elsie Bloomer (nee Strecker) at the ages of 26 for both parents. Catherine had had two brothers Joseph and Jack along with her three sisters Ann, Dorothy and Eleanor. Catherine married her first love John Emberger at a very young age and had three boys John (Vivian), Robert (Linda) and Edward (Maureen). John died suddenly in 1985. But found love again in the form of Francis until he also passed in 2014.
Catherine loved people and also loved to walk. That seemed to give her inner-peace. She worked at Leonard Embroidery for many years as a machine operator. Catherine is survived by many grand children, great grand children and even great- great grand children. Catherine’s place of interment will be in our hearts, minds and souls as she chooses to be cremated.
There will be a brief service at Lownes Family Funeral Home located at 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill on Thursday 13 December commencing at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your church in Catherine’s name.
