John R. Wilson, age 88 of Lansdale ,formerly of Lafayette Hill and Ft. Washington died Thursday (11/29/12) in the Gywnedd Square Nursing Center. He was a former President, and Owner of Advanced Building Services. Mr. Wilson was born in Schenectady , NY, the son of the late Robert and the late Olline (Cruickshank) Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a graduate of the Peddie School and Drexil Univ. where he recieved his Mechanical Engineering Degree.John was also a US Navy Veteran serving in the Submarine Serice in the South Pacific. While living in Lafayette Hill he was a member of Saint Peter's Lutheran Church. He also had lived in Ft. Washington,Pa. for over 32 years before moving to the Lansdale area. He was also a member of the Emmanuel Leidy Church in Souderton. He is survived by his wife-Jane (Travis ) Wilson. three daughters: Olline Dare (John) of Conyers, GA, Linda Frank (Chris) of Butler, PA, Lorraine Chappell (Gene) of Sandy Hook, CONN. one son: Edward Wilson (Mary) of Lansdale, PA one sister: Grace Vaughn of Fla. 11 Grandchildren , 4 Great Grandchildren., He was predeceased by a daughter Leigh Wilson and a brother Robert C. Wilson Jr. Friends may call Friday 12/21/2012 from 10-11am at Lownes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA.. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am , Burial will be held privately at the Saint Marks Cemetery in Honeybrooke,Pa.
