On November 27th, Margaret Brewer Gill passed away at the age of 91 after a long, full life. She began her nursing career as a midwife in England, then as cruise ship nurse in the Pacific, and finally as surgical nurse at Abington Hospital. Sailing, tennis, travel, and volunteering were her passions. The highlight of her religious life was an audience with the Pope in 1950.

She is survived by husband of 61 years, Dr. Robert Gill and children Genevieve (Tom), Christopher (Susan) and Suzanne (Tom), grandchildren, Tom, Caitlin, Ashlyn, and Ian, and by an identical twin sister, Nancy.

A funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 30th at St. Philips, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill at 10:30 with a visitation prior at 9:30 and followed by a repast at the Hill at Whitemarsh. The internment will be private on Saturday.
