Ashley’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

I had the privilege of being Ashley's classmate in middle school and high school. I remember her being a really kind and warm person, always smiling and bright, someone who was a friend to everyone. To think that that light is now gone from this world is very sad. I am very sorry for her family for their loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Our hearts are broken for Dave and the kids and everyone that was lucky enough to know Ashley. I loved talking with her and getting to know her on the baseball fields while watching our boys play. Her love and dedication to them was obvious and we are only comforted knowing she is in God's loving hands and that her beautiful memory will live on with the family forever. Please know how much we care and are thinking of you all.

Words can not describe Ashley unless you met her. She shined Jesus’ light wherever she went and always made you feel you were her best friend. What always hit me hard was she always cared about everyone else and prayed hard for so many even during her illness and pain. Thank you Dave and Layne, Max, and Jack for sharing her with us. May her life live on through you in all you do in life. She was 1 in a million. She taught me love and how to love Jesus without ceasing. She and I always would laugh together and she always gave me the best hugs. I’ll never forget this one day a few months back I visited with her and was able to lotion her aging hands and pray with her and just be me with her. I’ll never forget that one on one time that we had that day because that was the last time I saw her. Ash you are no longer in pain and now walking in the streets of heaven and I look forward to that day Ash we meet again!!! You finished strong my beautiful friend and now I can call you my angel! I love you! Christen

Ashley you were an amazing example of Gods’ love for us. You truely walked the walk. I will carry you in my heart forever. I met you in a time in my life when God knew I needed someone like you, except there is no one else like you. Your teachings, guidance, wisdom, and laughter have taught me so much, and I know my own children, and husband are benefitting from it as well. You brought me closer to our Lord and for that I will be forever grateful. I’ve never cried so much about losing someone but I have to keep remembering you are in a better place. You are with Jesus!!! I pray your sweet children truely learn through the years what an amazing person you were, and I know they will. They will be in awe as they read these letters and posts and cards. You and Dave have planted the seeds of faith in them and Dave will keep watering them. Dave and you had a truely amazing love. Words can’t describe what we all saw when we watched you both. Jesus must really love you both to have given you each other. I’m dreaming about what it’s like up there in heaven, and you are there!! Thank you for being my friend. I love you Ash!!!

Ashley,
I know I have thanked you in the past but it’s not enough. You changed my daughter Grace’s life. You were amazing with your kindness , patience and skills. I truly believe you are an angel sent from heaven above it not cause you have passed from this world but because you yourself were light ! Light with Grace light with me when you talked to me about her progress light with that sweet smile you flashed everywhere you went. God must me thrilled with the work you have completed here on earth. This is all said with a broken heart and much love for the family and friends you have left behind. Xo
