Gary G. Aiken, age 60 of Plymouth Meeting PA, died Sunday (5/2) in Hahnemann Hospital,Phila. He was involved in Marketing and Sales For The U.S Postal Service and former mail carrier for the Plymouth Meeting Post Office. Mr. Aiken was born in Phila., PA, the son of the late Walter and the late Marjorie Bechtel Aiken. Gary was a graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh H.S. Class of 1968 and attended Montgomery County Community College and Temple Univ. In highschool he was on the school soccer team and has been a big soccer fan ever since. He was a member of Saint Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill. Gary coached girls softball and Basketball for Whitemarsh Twp. Gary was a former board member of Ply-Mar Swim Club. He was an avid music Enthusiest and disc jockey. Gary is known for his quick wit and great sense of humor and lived his life for his wife and 2 daughters and granddaughter, along with his 2 West Highland Terriers. He is survived by his wife Nancy C.( Hunt ) Aiken two daughters: Gwendolyn A. Flaherty (Kevin) of Conshohocken, PA, Lauren M. Aiken of Plymouth Meeting, PA. one brother: Jeffrey Aiken of Central City, CO grandaughter, Annie Flaherty predeceased by a brother Richard Friends may call Thursday 5/6 from 6-8pm at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. and Friday 5/7 from 10-11am at the Church . Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am friday . Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Lower Merion. Contributions may be made to Saint Philip Neri Building Fund.
