Obituary of Dorothy W. Miller

Dorothy (Williams) "Dottie" Miller, age 87 of Ft. Washington formerly of Lafayette Hill and Cresco,Pa. died Saturday (7/14) at the Fort Washington Estates. She was a Home Maker. Mrs. Miller was born in Phila., PA, the daughter of the late Nathan and the late Winnie Armstrong Williams.wife of the late Donald Miller who died in 1993. Dottie was a former long time resident of Lafayette Hill and was a former active member of Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, teaching Sunday School, member of the choir and volunteer.She was a graduate of Springfield High School in Springfield Montco.In her much later years she attended East Stroudsburg Univ. for classes in theater and music which she so enjoyed. In 1990 Dottie moved to Cresco Pa. to the Paradise Falls Lutheran Community in Monroe County where she resided for several years before moving to the Fort Washington Estates. At Fort Washington Estates she was instrumental in putting musical shows together with the Off Off Broadway Players. While living in Cresco ,she was active as a board member of the Paradise Lutheran Assn. Dottie was also a charter member of the Turtle Club and was always known as the life of the party along with her infectious laugh and bright smile and will be missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by one son: D. Glen Miller(Mary) of Harleysville, PA 4 Grandchildren- Heather,Nora, Kim And Mike, 7 Great grand- Landon,Sylvia,Mariah,Jake,Oia, Nate and Zach. Dottie was predeceased by her loving daughter- Judith Anne Sobeck (Bill). . Memorial Services will be held Monday, 7/30 at 10:30 am in the The Auditorium Of The Fort Washington Estates, 1264 Fort Washington Ave. Fort Washington ,Pa. Her viewing and burial were held privately 7/20 at the Lownes Funeral Home of Lafayette Hill and The Barren Hill Cemetery.
