William A. Geppert Jr., age 88 of Lafayette Hill formerly of Wyndmoor PA, died Friday (6/29) at his daughters home in Wyndmoor . He was Chairman of The Board For Geppert Bros.,Inc.
Mr. Geppert Jr. was born in Phila., PA, the son of the late William A. and the late Anna Marie Carberry Geppert Sr..He is the husband of the late Anna Marie (Blanche) Geppert.
Mr. Geppert was a graduate of LaSalle College High School and attended LaSalle and Spring Garden College.
He served our Country during WW2 in the US Army and was wounded receiving the Purple Heart Medal and the Bronze Star Medal along with various others medals.
Bill was a Charter Member of the National Assn. of Demolition Contractors and had won the Life Time Achievement Award from the association.
He was also a member of the General Building Contractors Assn. and was also on the board of the Breachmenders and the Holy Ghost Prep . Also member of The Laborers District Council of the Metropolitan area of Phila. and member of the Subcontractors Assn. of Delaware Valley, The Contractors Assn. of Eastern,Pa. The 63rd Army Division and the 83rd Combat Infantry along with the Wyndmoor VFW.
Bill was also a member of Saint Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill. Bill enjoyed traveling and spending time with his loving family.
He is survived by
one daughter: Annamarie Geppert Hellebusch (M. Stroud) of Wyndmoor, PA.
three sisters: Nancy Duff of Huntington Valley, PA, Marie Steinhauser of Lansdale, PA, Joan Reed of Spring House, PA.
one brother: Richard Geppert of Brigantine, NJ
2 Grandaughters-Morgan Blanche Hellebusch And Grace Elizabeth Hellebusch
Preceded in death by his siblings-Joseph and James Geppert and Lorraine Sirianni.
Friends may call Monday 7/2/12 from 6-8pm at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. and Tuesday from 9:30-10:30am also at the Church
Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am
Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery
