Obituary of Axel A. Shield

Axel A. Shield, age 68 of Perkiomenville formerly of Lafayette Hill died Wednesday (5/23) in the Grandview Hospital. He was a retired attorney and had worked for Gelt Financial . Mr. Shield was born in Bainbridge Maryland, the son of the late Rudolph and the late Rosalie Bentley Shield. Mr. Shield was a graduate of the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School ,Penn Sate Univ. and Temple Univ. Law School. He was a former member of Saint Peters Lutheran Church in Lafayette Hill. He served our Country during the Vietnam War Conflict in the US Army and held the rank as 1st Leiutenant. Axel was a member of the Penna. and New Jersey Bar Assn. He enjoyed cars especially race cars and was a member of the the Porsche Club of America and the Sports Car Club of America. He is survived by his wife Hiromi (Makihara ) Shield He was the brother of the late Roxanne Shield. Friends may call Saturday 6/2/12 from 10-11am at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, 3025 Church Rd., Lafayette Hill, PA.
