Obituary of William G. Sasse

William G. Sasse, age 90 of Lafayette Hill formerly of Germantown, died Thursday (4/12) in the Lankenau Hospital. He was a Retired Manager For Leeds And Northrup in North Wales Pa. Mr. Sasse was born in Phila., PA, the son of the late William and the late Florence Robinson Sasse. Bill was a graduate of the Simon Gratz H.S. where had been active in football,baseball and basketball. Before entering the Navy during WW2 he entered the Minor Leagues for Baseball. After the war, Bill started his career at Leeds and Northrup as a managing foreman and had played basketball and bowled on the company teams. He was a member of Saint Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill. Bill enjoyed summering at the Jersey Shore in Brigantine with his family and he also fishing and gardening. He also was an avid sports fan and was proud of his country and the service he rendered in the US Navy as a Radioman . He is survived by his wife- Marion( Duva ) Sasse three daughters: Marion Pergine (Bill) of Royersford, PA, Barbara Monge (Bill) of King Of Prussia, PA, Joanne Rafetto (Scott) of Malvern, PA one son: William Sasse (Kathy) of Sarasota, FLA one sister: Thelma Scymanski 8 Grandchildren,4 Great Grand., He was predeceased by his son Robert in 1998 and a brother Henry. Friends may call Wednesday 4/18/2012 from 9:30-10:30am at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA..
