Obituary of Michael Wethey

Michael Wethey, age 59 of Plymouth Meeting PA., died Thursday (4/5) at his residence in Plymouth Meeting, . He was a Retired Civil Engineer /surveyor For Conceptual Planners and PennDot.He retired in 2011. Michael was born in Norristown, PA, the son of the late Edward E. Sr. and the late Ruth McGuigan Wethey . Former husband of Debbie (Laspas) Wethey. Mike was a graduate of the former Arch Bishop Kennedy H.S. He went on to serve our country during the Vietnam War in Okonawa for the US Air Force attaining the Rank of Sergeant. He also was a graduate of Spring Garden College where he recieved his Civil Engineering Degree. For many years Mike owned various business in our area with his former wife. Besides working for Conceptual Planners of Trooper, a sub company of PennDot, he had also worked for Base Engineering in Allentown and R.A. Picard Inc. of Conshohocken. Mike enjoyed wood working , the theater, geneology, fishing, camping, photography, motorcycles, car shows and his beloved 1967 Mustang. Mike was formerly active with The Vietnam Veterans of War Group. He is survived by three sisters: Marianne Hanna of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, Edwina Greene of Conshohocken, PA, Martha Kenna of W.Conshohocken, PA two brothers: Joseph Wethey of Downingtown, PA, Guy Wethey of Bechtelsville, PA Many Nieces,nephews,predeceased by brothers- William and Edward Jr. Friends may call Thursday 4/12 from 6-7:30pm at Lownes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA..
