Obituary of John R. "Put" Nordblom

John R. "Put" Nordblom, age 90 of Lancaster PA, died suddenlySaturday (3/17) in the Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center. He worked for Phila Suburban Water Co.for over 40 years and the at the Montgomery County Court House for 14years as a clerk. Mr. Nordblom was born in Phila., PA, the son of the late Hjlamar and the late Hilda Anderson Nordblom.husband of the late Bette (Simpson) Nordblom who died in 2006. Put has resided for the last 6 years with his daughter and son in law in Lancaster Co. He was a former long time resident of Plymouth Mtg. and Narberth Pa.. Put was a former active member of Saint Peters Lutheran Church in Lafayette Hill and was a former choir and council member and recently while living in Lancaster County he was a member of Saint Peters Lutheran Church in Manheim. Put was a graduate of Lower Merion H.S . He was a disabled ww2 Army Infantry Veteran serving in Normandy and Rhineland and had received the Purple Heart. He was a former member of the Plymouth Whitemarsh Conshohocken Exchange Club,The Optimist Club, Masonic Loge #308, and the Narberth American Legion and the Lititz VFW. He is survived by his daughter Debbie Wood (Mark ) Grandfather of Mathhew. Friends may call Wednesday 3/21 from 10-11am at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, 3025 Church Rd., Lafayette Hill, PA.. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Burial will be in the Barren Hill Cemetery, Lafayette Hill. Contributions may be made to Saint Peters Church.
