Obituary of Harry M. Stringer

Harry M. Stringer, age 74 of E.Norriton PA, died Saturday (4/10) in the Mercy Suburban Hospital. He was a retired Electronic Engineer, employed by Technology Design Inc. Mr. Stringer was born in Phila., PA, the son of the late John and the late Sarah Besson Stringer. Mr. Stringer was a member of Saint Peters Lutheran Church in Lafayette Hill and for many years and participated in the churches annual Boars Head Festival as a dancer. Prior to moving to E. Norriton Harry was a resident of Roxborough and had founded Cub Pack #334 thru Epiphany Lutheran Church. Harry worked at one time and also then volunteered for the Morris Arboretum in Chestnut Hill as a train master. Harry was a member of the Norriton Volunteer Fire Co. and served as fire police Captain for many years and was awarded in 1999 Rookie of the year. Harry loved to travel with his wife and family and also enjoyed camping and was also an avid Nascar fan. Harry was a graduate of Germantown Highschool and went onto serve our country in the US Airforce during the Korean War Conflict. Harry was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor and will be saddly missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his wife- Barbara ( Taylor ) Stringer one daughter: Cynthia S. McGoldrick of Eagleville, PA two sons: Kenneth W. Stringer (Marie) of W.Norriton, PA, Bruce J. Stringer (Cathy) of Harrisburg, PA one brother: Jack Stringer(Jan) of Longmont, CLOL 4 grandchildren, Friends may call Tuesday 4/13/2010 from 7-9PM at Lownes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. and Wednesday 4/14/10 from 10-11am at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, 3025 Church Rd., Lafayette Hill, PA.. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am in the Saint Peter's Lutheran Church Burial will be in the Ivy Hill Cemetery, . Contributions may be made to Saint Peters Lutheran Church.
