Obituary of Margaret K. Kahoe

Margaret (Kent) "Peg" Kahoe, age 79 of Lafayette Hill PA, died Monday (12/26) in the Chestnut Hill Hospital. She was a Home Maker and former bank teller for some local banks most recently being the former Home Unity Bank in Lafayette Hill. Mrs. Kahoe was born in Phila., PA, the daughter of the late Daniel and the late Margaret Murphy Kent.wife of the late Frank C. Kahoe Sr. who died in 1997. Mrs. Kahoe was a graduate of the Little Flowers H.S. She was a member of Saint Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill and their Phillipians Social Group and also volunteered thru the church as a driver for medical patients. She also was a member of the Whitemarsh Questers along with being a former active member of the Ply Mar Swim Club. Peg also volunteered for the Meals on Wheels Program sponsered by the Colonial Neighborhood Council. When her daughters were young ,she was a former Girl Scout Leader. She was an avid reader,Crafter and artist and also enjoyed dry flower arranginging. Peg also loved antiques and was supporter of the William Jeanes Mmeorial Library in Lafayette Hill. She is survived by three daughters: Linda Kahoe Hanna (Richard) of Conshohocken, PA, Joanne Sztubinski of Lafayette Hill, PA, Patricia Branagh(Jeff) of Plymouth Meeting, PA. one son: Frank C. Kahoe Jr. (Gina) of Harrisburg, PA also survived by 6 Grandcildren Along With Her Neices,nephews, Along with her husband she was predeceased by a brother James Kent. Friends may call Friday 12/30/11 from 10-11am at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA.. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am . Burial will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham. Contributions may be made to William Jeanes Memorial Library 4051 Joshua Rd. Lafayette Hill,Pa. 19444. Funeral arrangements are by the Lownes Funeral Home of Lafayette Hill.
