John J. O'Brien "Jack", age 93 of The Shannondell Community, Audubon,Pa. died Tuesday (10/4) at his residence. He was a Retired Contract Administrator For RCA in Cherry Hill NJ and was formerly employed by Computer Sciences Corp. in Mt.Laurel NJ and Galaxy Scientific Corp. in Pleasantville, NJ finally retiring in 1994. Mr. O'Brien was born in Cairo, IL, the son of the late William and Alice (Murphy) O'Brien . Mr. O'Brien was raised in Indianapolis and lived in the Phila./ S. Jersey area since 1951. He lived in Cherry Hill ,NJ for 31 yrs. along with Mt. Laurel ,NJ before moving to the Shannondell Community in Audubon,Pa. He was a graduate of the Cathedral H.S. in Indianapolis along with Notre Dame Univ. Jack was a veteran of WW2 and served our Country as a Major in the U.S. Army in England, France and Germany in the 50th Troop Carrier Wing. He is survived by Catherine ( Wilson ) O'Brien three daughters: Nancy Singer (Harry) of N.Wales, PA . Mary Alice Tolen (Michael)of Cherry Hill, NJ, Joan O. Hart(Kevin) of Pleasanton, CA one sister: Margaret Monahan of Indianapolis ,IN and is also survived by 7 grandchildren. Friends may call Saturday 10/8 from 9-11am at Saint Teresa Of Avila Church, 1260 S. Trooper Rd. Norristown,Pa. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Burial will be private in the Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill. Contributions may be made to Notre Dame Alumni Assn. 110 Eck Center,Notre Dame,IN 46556 or the Montgomery Hospice Care , 24 W. Fornance St.,Norristown,Pa. 19401.
