Anita Elise (Harden) Allan, age 85 of Rosemont PA, died Tuesday (7/12) in the Bryn Mawr Hospital. She was a Home Maker Mrs. Allan was born in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Edwin and the late Anita Romeo Hardin. She is the wife of the late Lincoln W. Allan who died in 2009. Mrs.Allan was a native of Great Neck ,Long Island where she attended St. Aloysius Elem. School. She graduated from the Eden Hall Academy of the Sacred Heart .In 1947 she graduated from Manhattenville College and October of that year she married her late Husband Lincoln W. Allan and they went on to have 6 children. Mrs. Allan was vice president of the Saint Francis Country House and president of The Saint Vincent Hospital Auxiliary. She also served on many committees at Saint Thomas of Villanova School and the Penna. School for the deaf. She was a member of the Aronomick and Overbrook Golf Clubs along with the Gulfstream Bath and Tennis Club and the Little Club while she resided in Delray Beach Florida. In 1994 she and her husbnad moved to Vero Beach Fla. and were members of the Moorings Club and Seagrove Garden Club. She is survived by two daughters: Elizabeth Kellam (Larry), Elise Tucci four sons: Michael W. Allan Stephen Allan (Gina), Christopher Allan, Edwin Allan(Lisa) 13 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grand, Friends may call Saturday July 16,2011 from 10-11am at Saint Thomas Of Villanova, 1229 W.Lancaster Ave., Rosemont, PA.19010 Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Lower Merion. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Country Day School of the Sacred Heart, 480 Bryn Mawr Ave ,Bryn Mawr, Pa. 19010. Funeral arrangements are by the Lownes Funeral Home of Lafayette Hill.
