Obituary of Nicholas J Cassizzi

Nicholas J. Cassizzi, 79, of Port Richmond, died on October 16, 2023. Nick was born on January 1, 1944 to Laura (Santoni) and Jerome Cassizzi. He was pre-deceased by his ex-wife,  Sandy, and his brother Jerome. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann, his sons Nicholas (Jeanie), Christopher (William), and Joseph, his brother Robert, and his granddaughter Gianna Nicole.

Nick was known for his enduring love for his family and the care he took of all the people who crossed his path. This was clear in the way he served his beloved Port Richmond community throughout his life. As a funeral director, Nick was called when people were at their saddest, and he offered them loving support through a difficult time. 

His family will always remember his beautiful smile and the twinkle in his eye. He loved to feed people around a big table and could be heard whistling as he cooked in the kitchen. He loved to spend time at the shore with family and friends. He will be deeply missed, but his kind spirit lives on in all whose lives he touched.

A celebration of Nick’s life will be held on Friday, October 20th at St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 2316 Fairhill Avenue, Glenside. Visitation is from 12:00 - 1:30 followed by a funeral mass at 1:30.
