Obituary of Richard J von Medicus

Richard Joseph von Medicus of Fort Washington, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on February 22, 2023 with his family by his side. Richard "Dick" was born on November 23, 1942 to the late Joseph and Virginia Medicus of LaFayette Hill, Pennsylvania. 

From an early age Dick was fascinated with airplanes, motorcycles, and racecars. His passion for automobiles became his career. Dick founded Karosserie, a renowned automobile restoration facility in Devon, Pennsylvania which is still in operation today. During his career he led a team of skilled craftsmen in repairing many of the world's rarest antique and exotic automobiles. Upon his retirement, Richard enjoyed his lifelong passions of skiing, fishing, trap shooting, sailing and spending time with his family. 

Richard was preceded in death by his brother Robert Medicus. He is survived by his sister, Jody Heathman, his three sons: William, Brenden, and Joseph von Medicus, and his 4 grandchildren. Richard will be greatly missed and those who knew him will continue to benefit from having known a world class gentleman.
