Obituary of Wade M Baugher
Wade Maddox Baugher, 68, passed away on August 15, 2022. He was born on July 11, 1954, in Alexandria, Virginia, the youngest child of Barbara Lora McKenney Baugher and George Luther Baugher, Jr. When Wade was very young, he and his family moved to Aspers, Pennsylvania, where he spent his formative years happily in the company of his paternal grandparents, mother, siblings, and an extensive group of aunts, uncles and first cousins.
Wade graduated from Biglerville High School in 1972. His favorite educational accomplishment following high school was graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. Wade soon discovered the difficulty of becoming a professional actor and turned his creative talents to computer programming. For the past 10 years, he worked as an Application Developer at the Silver Springs-Martin Luther School in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania.
Among his friends and family, Wade was best known for his fun-loving spirit and infectious laugh. He always had interesting topics to talk about and was a great listener. He loved to cook and guests at his dinner parties were equally entertained by his engaging personality and his excellent culinary skills. In addition, Wade was passionate about genealogy, doing extensive research on both the Baugher and McKenney families.
Wade passed away unexpectedly from atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. At the time of his death, he was survived by his sisters, Susan B. English and Gale E. Jessie, and his brother, Douglas G. Baugher who has since passed away on July 13, 2023. Wade is also survived by two nephews Gregory G. Baugher and Andrew Z. English, and five nieces, Kathryn M. Baugher, Alice V. English, Rachel Jessie Carpenter, Julia Jessie Carpenter, and Cassandra Jessie Blondell.
