Veronica A. Kelly Obituary

Veronica Ann (McCartney) Kelly, “Ronnie”, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and Friend passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, at the age of 99, surrounded by her loving family.  Born on October 22, 1926, in Lafayette Hill, Ronnie was the daughter of Hugh and Rose McCartney.

Throughout her life, Ronnie was a source of unwavering love, strength and guidance to her family and friends.  She married George Joseph Kelly from Conshohocken on April 7, 1956, and together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories.  Together they raised four children, Deborah Kelly, Veronica Kelly-Morgan, Michael Kelly (Valery) and Marianne Famous.

In addition to her children, Ronnie is survived by four grandchildren, Christopher Famous (Melody), Tara Kelly-Reinhart (Andrew), Jennifer Mesoraca (Dominic) and Michael Kelly, as well as seven great grandchildren, Luke, Jacob, Olivia, Cody, Jordyn, Cayleigh and Vincent, whom she absolutely adored. Nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends were all touched by her warmth and kindness.

Ronnie was the epitome of pure joy, the life of every party.  She lived her life in full color – a woman whose laughter, love of dancing, and signature glass of Pinot Grigio turned ordinary moments into celebrations.  The music of Engelbert Humperdinck was her soundtrack, and wherever she went, joy followed.  She embraced every tradition with enthusiasm, from her cherished annual summer week in Ocean City, New Jersey to dinners at Cracker Barrel, festive holiday gatherings, and lively New Year’s Eve celebrations.  She found happiness in the simple things too – family get togethers, time with friends and quiet evenings spent with a word search puzzle.  Her magnetic presence drew people in, and her warmth made them stay.

She was predeceased in death by her husband George Kelly, her mother and father Hugh and Rose McCartney and sister Rosemarie Rineer (Sweetie).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lownes Family Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill with the funeral service immediately following.  Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery 235 Matsonford Road, West Conshohocken.
