Ernest A. Wright V Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ernest A. Wright V (Ernie) on January 24, 2026. He is deeply mourned by his mother, Beth; his two daughters, Hannah and Amanda; their mother, Karen; his sister, Amy, and her family; stepbrothers Chris and Jay, and their families, as well as his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

He will be remembered as a larger-than-life presence, often the loudest voice in the room, but always in the best way. He had a natural ability to bring people together and make everyone feel included, whether they were lifelong friends or people he had just met.

As the oldest grandchild of Maurice and Louise Felton, whom he adored, Ernie naturally took on the role of connector, creating moments meant to be shared. Growing up, time spent on their farm with his cousins became the source of many of his favorite memories and helped shape the person he would become.

Ernie grew up in Jenkintown and was a proud graduate of Abington High School, where he built friendships that began with neighborhood mischief and grew into lifelong bonds. Those friendships carried through adulthood, becoming close family relationships, with children growing up together, vacations shared, and decades of memories made.

That spirit followed him to Lynchburg College, where he was very active in his fraternity, hosting events, trivia nights, and gatherings that became central to campus life and led to close friendships that would continue long after graduation.

Ernie was the proud owner of a FASTSIGNS franchise in Conshohocken, where, over 25 years in business, he built a reputation with his team for generosity and care, becoming a familiar and trusted presence in the local community.

A lifelong fan of Philadelphia sports teams, Ernie found joy in friendly competition and shared laughter. He was a gamer at heart and a lover of trivia, cribbage, Golden Tee, and cornhole, always ready for a challenge and a good story to go with it.

He was known for his open heart and open doors. The doors to his home and his shop were always open to friends, family, and neighbors. He loved hosting gatherings by the pool, planning road rallies for family and friends to enjoy, reconnecting with old friends, listening to music, and bringing people together in moments that felt easy and joyful.

Ernie’s life will be celebrated later this year in the spring. This date will be announced in the future.

In honor of Ernie’s deep love for animals and his unwavering gratitude and respect for those who served, the family asks that donations be made in his name to either the Montgomery County SPCA or the Wounded Warrior Project.
