Donald Payne, a devoted family man, proud Marine, and dedicated civil servant, passed away on March 6, 2025, at the age of 82. Born in Bryn Mawr, PA, on December 13, 1942, Donald lived a life of service, integrity, and love. In 1972, he joined the United States Marine Corps, serving his country with honor until his discharge in 1991. His commitment to service continued as he worked for the Department of the Navy, where he remained until his well-earned retirement in 2022. Donald was a man who valued family above all else. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren, always showing them love, guidance, and support. Though not deeply religious, he held Christian beliefs and lived by the principles of kindness, honesty, and generosity. His presence brought strength and joy to those around him, and his legacy of love will endure. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
