Florence Jeanette Peterson, 98, of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on February 23 at her residence in Plymouth Meeting.

A funeral service will be held at Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church, Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania on February 28. The viewing will take place in the sanctuary at 10 a.m. with a service following at 11 a.m. Interment will take place after the service at George Washington Memorial Park in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. Lownes Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.

Florence was born in the Germantown area of Philadelphia to Julius and Rosalie Weychert on March 23, 1926. She was part of a large and loving family of three brothers and five sisters. She married John J. Peterson of Philadelphia on November 29, 1947 who preceded her in death on September 1, 2009.

Florence is survived by her daughters Susan Szymanik and Barbara Gigure (Terry), and son John Peterson (Denise), grandchildren Caitlin Suchodolski (Myron), John Szymanik (Krystin), Julie Romano (Joseph), Kristen Peterson, Lindsey Peterson, John Peterson, Thomas Gigure (Amanda), and great-grandchildren Matthew, Daniel, John, Joseph and Jacob.
