Lee A. Blasek,D.D.S., age 85, of Lafayette Hill, died Monday, July 25, 2016 at his home. Dr.Blasek was born May 6, 1931 in Conshohocken, PA.. He is the son of the late Leon and the late Eugenia (Wisniewski) Blaszczyk. . Dr.Blasek retired from his practice in Maple Glen in 1998. He was a graduate of Temple Dental School and was a Fellow in the Academy of Dentistry International, The International College of Dentists, The Pierre Fauchard Academy and the American College of Dentists. He was active in the PAGD for many years serving as the Secretary from 1977 to 1986 as well as President ,Treasurer,Director and Membership Chairman. In the AGD on the national level, he served as Regional Director and was a member of numerous committees. Dr. Blasek was active in the Montgomery-Bucks Dental Society and many local civic,church and university groups. Dr. served in the US Navy during the Korean War and was a long time member of Saint Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill. Among his hobbies he especially enjoyed growing orchids. He is survived by his wife: Patricia (Borges) Blasek, and sons: Michael A. Blasek,DMD.(Jayne) of Maple Glen, Steven E. Blasek (Debra) of Barto, Brian G. Blasek of Conshohocken, Matthew L. Blasek (Michele) of Audubon, Pa . He is also survived by 12 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Dr.Blasek was predeceased by his son-Mark A. Blasek (Diane) and a brother Charles. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, July 30 at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. Calling hours will be Saturday, July 30 from 9:30-11AM at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA..Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Einstein Montgomery Home Care and Hospice-1330 Powell St. Norristown,Pa.19401. Funeral arrangements are by the Lownes Family Funeral Home of Lafayette Hill. Dr.Blasek was a graduate of Temple Dental School.
