Walter G. Frederick, age 88, of Harleysville, formerly of Lafayette Hill,Pa. died Monday, October 19, 2015 at Grandview Hospital of Telford, PA. Walter was born March 26, 1927 in Phila., PA. He is the son of the late Clarence and the late Edna (Iliff) Frederick. He was the husband of the late Gladys (Wohlschlagel) Frederick who passed away in 2012. He was employed by Standard Press Steel as a Credit Manager. Mr.Frederick was a graduate of Germantown High School , Pierce Junior College and Temple University. He served our Country during World War Two in the US Navy. Mr.Frederick was an active member of The Messiah United Methodist Church in Lafayette Hill and formerly served as their Chairman of the Finance Committee , Church Counsel, Treasurer and had also sang in the choir. While living in Harleysville at the Peter Becker Community he was a member of the Romeo's Club which stands for Retired Old Men Eating Out. He will be sorely missed by his devoted family and many friends. He is survived by two daughters: Nancy Langerfeld (Gene) of Lafayette Hill, PA., Laurie Walters (Kevin) of Plymouth Meeting, PA.; Brother of - Jane Elgin of Lansdale, PA; ; 4 Grandchildren- Kristen (Dan) , Keith, Bobby and Lindsay,. He was also predeceasded by a brother William. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Friday, October 23 at Messiah United Methodist Church, 527 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Horsham .. The viewing will be Thursday, October 22 from 6-8pm and Friday, October 23 from 9:30-11AM at Messiah United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Messiah United Methodist Church, 527 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill,Pa.19444 or the Peter Becker Community Benevolent Fund, 800 Maple Ave. Harleysville,Pa.19438. Mr.Frederick was a graduate of Germantown High School , Pierce Junior College and Temple University. He served our Country during World War Two in the US Navy.
